Craft Beer: Campaign I
Sell Sheet
Two iterations of a targeted segment campaign for craft beer that included collateral and industry trade print and digital advertising. Both creative treatments were utilized, but in separate years, and also adapted for trade show promotion and support.
"Crafted Solutions" makes the connection between craft brewers' passion for their art and WestRock's ability to "craft" customizable and scalable packaging solutions that fit the needs of their operations now and in the future as their businesses grow. As an integrated manufacturer of consumer and corrugated packaging solutions, WestRock is uniquely positioned to serve this audience.
Story behind the packaging:
Packaging graphics are faux brands derived from building names on the company's previous campus at Thrasher Street in Norcross, GA—hence the brewing company's name: Thrasher Street Brewing. Buildings were named after past company presidents: Arthur Newth Morris, Worley Brown, and W. Max Finley. All packaging concepts were developed for marketing purpose although Worley's Brown Ale was featured almost exclusively in collateral and promotional materials.
Corrugated Pizza Boxes: Campaign I
Print Advertising
Print and digital advertising campaigns to promote corrugated pizza boxes.
Campaign I
Dual purpose campaign to:
Campaign II
As competition from cheaper, imported pizza boxes increased, more emphasis was given to WestRock's certified manufacturing processes and safety measures with a secondary message on the recyclability of corrugated pizza boxes. The strategy behind "quality and safety" relied heavily on FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt).
Packaging Automation: Front Cover Corner Cut Ad I
Awareness campaign for promoting packaging design to automation solutions during COVID.
At the height of COVID, many CPGs (Consumer Packaged Goods companies) faced supply chain interruptions that negatively impacted their operations, making it difficult to source the materials they needed to run their businesses. They were also challenged with getting their own products out the door due to labor issues. Strategic backup plans for manufacturing packaging materials and automation solutions that streamline production allowed WestRock to alleviate pressures companies were feeling at both ends of the spectrum by "Providing Flexibility," Improving Efficiency" and "Creating Stability" for their operations.
Concepts were adapted for specific packaging machinery to be promoted at a virtual industry event.
